Introduction
KRISO, established in 1973, is a government funded research institute and the leader in technology development in ships and ocean engineering. KRISO has solved national issues through strong research capacity and state-of-the-art ocean technology, while making effort to respond to national and global demands. The core research areas include environment-friendly advanced ship, offshore plant engineering, maritime traffic safety and marine accident response, and underwater vehicles and marine equipment. KRISO will play a leading role in developing shipbuilding and ocean engineering, devising national polices and responding to international standards.
