Introduction
KOMERI is operating high-tech R&D facilities and testing equipment installed at the Institute, that marine equipment makers may find highly useful. As a leading national institute for marine equipment research and development, KOMERI is carrying out a wide range of activities such as R&D, testing and certification. KOMERI was founded in 2001 with the aim of nurturing marine equipment researchers and expanding the industry's R&D capability through increased availability of costly equipment. since the inception, it has been proving effective support for R&D activity across the industry, with its extensive experiences and know-how in research , testing and certification , in addition to excellent human resources and equipment.
An increasing number of shipbuilders and marine equipment makers are par ticipation in a broad array of projects initiated by KOMERI such as industrial technology infrastructure construction, reliability enhancement, regional strategic industry promotion project, standardization, marine equipment engineers training&education project, development of cruise ship equipment project carried out b the tripartite joint technology development consortium of industry, academia and research institute.
